Critical thinkers

 Critical thinkers tend to:

  • Seek information as well as precision in information.

I think that in order to be good  Critical thinkers , we must be informed and to learn about the subject in order to make a criticism with valid arguments, we should consult different sources of information that allow us to have mastery of the subject matter.

  • Be open minded

Receptive to new and different ideas or the opinions of others
accepting all perspective as possibilities.

  • Be capable of taking a position or changing a position as evidence dictates

It means having the ability to change of thought if
the arguments of the others are convincing for us.

FAIRY AND FOLK TALES

THE UGLY DUCKLING

SUMARY

One day a duck had several ducks, but one of them was much more ugly, clumsy and awkward that the other, So all the other ducks and also her mother rejected and laughed at his appearance. The duckling decides to flee from there and all alone and sad confronts  to the problems of winter. At the beginning of spring, He sees a group of swans, to their surprise, they are friendly with him. These make you see your reflection in the pond, and discover that he really was a beautiful swan and  not a duck lanky as everyone thought.

I choose these folk tale because I think that is an manner for to teach at the childrens the importance about the tolerance and respect.

The Ugly Duckling is a story very educational. Perfectly represents prejudice and exclusion that many practice with those who are different, and is one of the classic tales whose teaching is kept more alive and current.

too this  story is perfect to teach children the value of tolerance, Thad  needed in a multicultural world where we are all so different and where it is important to respect the differences of religion, belief, culture, race, and  appearance  ETC.

Riddles

You hear my sound,

You feel me when I move,
But see me you never will.

The more I dry,

The wetter I get

I follow you all day long,

But when the night or rain comes,

I am all gone.

  1. At night they come without being fetched. By day they are lost without being stolen. What are they?

2. The more you have of it, the less you see. What is it?

MULTICULTURALISM is a philosophy that appreciates ethnic diversity within a society and that encourages people to learn from the contributions of those of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

There is nothing wrong with multiculturalism. In fact, it's wonderful. It makes the world a better place. It enriches everybody. But wholesale, indiscriminate, across-the-board, reckless multiculturalism is incomplete. It is missing one simple distinction, and that makes it blind.

Multiculturalism is great. Blind multiculturalism can get us into trouble.

The missing distinction is mutuality
. It's great to tolerate other religions or ethnic customs if the people following those religions and customs also tolerate ours. It is self-inflicted abuse to tolerate them when they do not tolerate ours. And it is cultural suicide to tolerate a religion that actively tries to undermine or destroy ours.

It is a crime against humanist values to let them be taken away (one small concession at a time) by a less-tolerant culture simply because the less-tolerant culture is more insistent, aggressive, and relentless.
